Content Moderation Policy
Version 2026-08-21 · Governing law: India
Note: The English version of this policy is the definitive legally binding version. In the event of any discrepancy with translated versions, the English text shall prevail.
1. Purpose
Auro Guild is a community and creator platform for Bharat. This policy explains how we keep the platform safe and lawful, what content or behaviour we remove, how you can report violations, and how you can appeal a moderation decision.
2. Prohibited content and behaviour
We do not allow content or accounts that:
- Are sexually explicit, pornographic, or exploit minors in any way.
- Promote violence, terrorism, self-harm, or dangerous illegal acts.
- Bully, harass, threaten, or dox other users or individuals.
- Are hateful, discriminatory, or incite hatred against protected groups.
- Are defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to scam users.
- Infringe copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Contain malware, phishing, or other harmful technical content.
- Impersonate another person or organisation in a misleading way.
- Are spam, repeatedly off-topic, or used to manipulate stars, comments, follows, or leaderboards.
- Violate applicable Indian law, including the IT Act, 2000, and the IT Rules, 2021.
3. Content removals
We remove or restrict content that violates this policy. Removals may happen:
- After a user report is reviewed by our moderation team.
- Through automated detection of illegal or high-risk material (e.g., child safety, malware).
- Upon receipt of a valid legal order or court direction.
When content is removed, we may notify the author with the reason and the specific policy section violated, unless doing so is prohibited by law or would compromise safety or investigation.
We may also issue temporary restrictions (e.g., reduced distribution, suspension of posting, removal from leaderboards) or permanently suspend accounts for repeated or severe violations.
4. Reporting content or accounts
Every post in the app has a visible “Report” button. You can also report an account or any other concern by emailing our Grievance Officer at the address below. When reporting, please include:
- A link to the post, profile, or comment you are reporting.
- The specific reason (e.g., harassment, hate speech, scam, copyright).
- Any supporting information or evidence.
We aim to review reports within 24-72 hours. Illegal or urgent safety matters (e.g., child safety, imminent violence) are prioritised and may be acted upon immediately.
5. Appeals
If you believe your content or account was removed or restricted in error, you may appeal by contacting our Grievance Officer. Your appeal must include:
- Your registered email address or username.
- A description of the content/action and why you believe it should be restored.
- Any evidence supporting your appeal.
We will acknowledge receipt of your appeal within 48 hours and aim to provide a final decision within 15 days. If we restore your content, we will remove any associated strike or restriction unless the original removal was also required by a legal order.
6. Transparency and records
We maintain internal moderation logs for the purpose of enforcing this policy, training moderators, and complying with legal obligations. These logs are not published but are retained in accordance with our data retention and legal requirements.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be announced in the app and, where required, will require renewed consent.
